JOINT FIRE TRAINING
WITH EDGARTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT
On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, the Oak Bluffs Fire-EMS Department and the Edgartown Fire Department conducted a joint fire training at 50 Curtis Lane Edgartown, MA 02539.
Utilizing an acquired home that was scheduled for demolition, the Firefighters from Oak Bluffs and Edgartown were able to do extensive training. Some topics that were covered were forcible entry through a garage roll down; vertical ventilation (roof operations); hose line advancement (1 3/4 & 2 1/2); transitional fire attack; and rapid intervention (initial survey and tool choices).
