FIRE AND EMS DETAILS
A “detail” is the assignment of one or more fire personnel and/or emergency medical service personnel who standby at a planned activity, such as a sporting event or concert.
To request a detail, please fill out the form. Please submit your request at least 7 days prior to the date of the detail. The current charge for a detail is $65.00 per hour, per Fire/EMS personnel plus $45.00 per hour, per Fire/EMS apparatus. A 10% Town of Oak Bluffs Service Charge may be applied. The event contractor who submits the form assumes responsibility for all charges applied. You may print, fill out and return the necessary form via email, standard mail or fill out hard copies at the Station and drop them off in the Station's Lobby Drop Box (available 24/7) at your convenience.
Cancellation Policy: The Oak Bluffs Fire-EMS Department must be notified 24 hours in advance if you wish to cancel or change your detail request. The Oak Bluffs Fire-EMS Department reserves the right to charge the full estimated amount for a lack of timely notification. To change or cancel a request, email the Administration.
Staffing: The Fire-EMS Chief will work with the requesting party to determine the appropriate number of Fire and/or EMS personnel and apparatuses for each event based upon public safety needs.
